Rock icon Roger Taylor has made a surprise announcement that he will play a UK solo tour this Autumn, including a date at Nottingham’s Rock City in October.
The upcoming concerts will showcase his distinctive percussive, vocal and songwriting talents that have been integral to Queen.
The singer/songwriter from the Isle of Lewis first made a name for himself back in 2010 when he signed for Universal Records while working under the alias The Boy Who Trapped The Sun, but life in London wasn’t for him and eventually he found himself back on the island.
Doug, who was the first Briton to climb to the summit of Mount Everest alongside Dougal Haston, completed the book shortly before his death last year. It is now being published posthumously by Sheffield-based Vertebrate Publishing as a fitting tribute to Doug.
